I'm not sure what you're trying to get confirmation for but the message from
upstream in response to your comment is pretty clear : KMag doesn't work on
Wayland (yet ?).
Sure it would be better to say so in an explicit error message to the user as
you proposed. But looking at the source repo activity [1 ] KMag is in life
support mode and has seen mostly only translation and metadata updates over the
last years so I wouldn't expect that to happen unless someone adopts it.
