I have to agree. Whilst great strides are being made with Wayland, it
is far from 'production ready' IMO. Last time I tried Wayland (about 3
months ago) there were still too many niggles to endure for me to give
it a serious workout. Too many generic icons in various places was my
biggest bugbear at the time.
I suspect that the issue lies, in part at least, with Wayland rather
than KDE/Plasma, itself.
