You can try Plasma 6 with kde Neon. IMHO it is not a big change and there is no real benefit over Plasma 5. Also, not all applications have been ported to framework 6. I would be more interested to have liquidshell packaged than kde 6 (in its current version). Liquidshell is an official kde project for a desktop without qml, a bit like kde3 Xavier
