My solution was to replace the Application Launcher widget with the Application
Menu, where the icon still has a resonable size.
I also been affected by this, launcher icon ridiculous size, I use
vertical panel with size of 256 and that icon was stretched fully to
that size. Switched to Application Menu like you, thanks.
