Package: libstdc++6 Version: 6.3.0-6 Severity: important Hi,
while analyzing piuparts upgrade logs for jessie->stretch, I came across several cases where the openmpi stack was kept at the jessie version (libopenmpi1.6 and friends) instead of being upgraded to libopenmpi2 etc. (See also #851681: apt: fails to find a clean jessie->stretch upgrade path involving the openmpi stack). Since I haven't heard from the apt people and I fail to see the actual reason of this upgrade failure myself, I started looking for a workaround. Adding a Breaks: libopenmpi1.6 to the high-priority package libstdc++6 should prevent apt from keeping the old version installed and therefore ensure upgrading to openmpi 2.0 Please consider this change for your next upload targetting stretch. Thanks Andreas
