Indeed, there is no g77 dummy transitional package in lenny to help users to upgrade to gfortran. -> Is that still feasible to create one for lenny ? We also missed that in release-notes as well. The "Why ?" section at http://wiki.debian.org/GfortranTransition could be linked from the Lenny RN (but I wonder in which section of RN it would have its place).
