nighthawk/gnu/etc/apt$ sudo apt-get -c apt.conf.offline build-dep gcc-3.4 Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Package gnat-3.3 is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source Package gnat-3.4 is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source Package procps is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source However the following packages replace it: psmisc E: Package gnat-3.3 has no installation candidate E: Package gnat-3.4 has no installation candidate E: Package procps has no installation candidate Sorry, but we need those excemptions for hurd-i386. You just removed the "gnu" occurances, but they should be changed back to "hurd-i386". gcc-3.3 has: dejagnu (>= 1.4.3) [!hurd-i386 ... expect (>= 5.38.0) [!hurd-i386 ... gnat-3.3 [... !hurd-i386 ... gnat-3.2 [... !hurd-i386 ... locales [... !hurd-i386 ... procps [!hurd-i386 ... while gcc-3.4 has no occurance of "hurd-i386" in the Build-Depends at all anymore. cheers, Michael
