With the patches that we talked about (plus one other I haven't sent you, because it's a hack to work around a bug in glibc) I have succesfully built gcc-3.1_3.1ds1-0pre6.
Is this the version that compiles destructors in the wrong order? If yes, then I won't push it into service yet. The plan is to use gcc-3.1 as our default compiler, so that we can avoid the binary recompile nightmare. Thanks for all your help!
