You are giving up too soon, please read the mentioned doc. According to /usr/share/doc/apt/examples/sources.list you should use apt-cdrom for cdroms. Also disk 1 and 2 probably dont have any sources, get a source disk or use: deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free or closer site, unless you don't have an Internet connection.
