Well, for the record, _my_ packages were broken in that they setup stuff that was no longer there. I have fixed that. In my defense they were done early in my DD times and I was following a template. Fixing that template will take care of a lot of problems. We don't really need another directory. We can load another (uneditable) startup file from the /etc startup file. Peter
