I think the interest is there. IIRC, this was discussed about a year ago, perhaps even with you. My personal recollection from those past discussions is that the alternative I liked best was to make sure the list of the directories searched by the Info browser is such that it finds the right files first. Perhaps that means we need to modify the search path as each manual is loaded into the browser, instead of initializing it only once.
