Now this is weird, but I didn't notice it at work this afternoon, yet I saw it immediately at home. The scrollbars on the packaged emacs21 are like those of emacs20 (dark black), instead of nice looking like on these screenshots:
http://gri.sourceforge.net/gridoc/html/GriModeScreenshots.html The difference is probably: $ ldd /usr/local/bin/emacs-21.0.106 | grep Xaw libXaw3d.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw3d.so.6 (0x2aac1000) $ ldd /usr/bin/emacs-21.1 | grep Xaw libXaw.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so.6 (0x2aac1000) I've been using emacs21 pretests since February with this option without problems. (I was about to simply email Rob when I thought I'd check for bug reports!) Thanks, Peter
