This Debian package provides the core system tracing components and command-line tools of Perfetto for recording traces with detailed performance data from the kernel and userspace applications. Traces recorded with the tools in this package can be opened and analyzed using the web-based Perfetto UI at https://ui.perfetto.dev (which is not part of this package). This package will be maintained on Salsa. I (an engineer on the Perfetto team) will be co-maintaining this with Ricardo Ribalda ([email protected]), who has graciously agreed to sponsor and guide us through the process.
