Thanks. is there another way people can use to understand how to build the package? gbp.conf at least tells you which branches to use (even if you dont use gbp) (i dont think anyone is trying to push gbp but there is also a cost for people trying to reproduce and bugs in working out how to build the thing. i revently cloned a package and it had both a debian and a master branch, only gbp.conf told me which to use)
