Before I did anything else, attempting to view your email in aerc
resulted in:
No filter configured for this mimetype ('text/markdown')
What would you like to do?
O Open using the system handler :open<enter>
S Save to file :save<space>
| Pipe to shell command :pipe<space>
I defined a filter (following some advice downthread):
text/markdown=pandoc -f markdown-blank_before_blockquote -t plain
And I can now read your mail. Without the blank_before_blockquote
variant the quoting would be broken. I think using the code block for
your signature is an interesting work-around.
