I am wondering the same. However, neither Santiago or Josue have followed up on this and other pending ifupdown issues that I have brought up. Santiago already indicated elsewhere that his spare time is sparse, which might explain why, but Josue is essentially MIA. Personally, I'm ready to raise the Priority of dhcpcd-base to important, to match the override, and I think that it should be done now, because isc-dhcp has been mothballed upstream, while dhcpcd still sees regular releases and it transparently handles IPv4 and IPv6 without requiring separate inet and inet6 lines in /etc/network/interfaces.
