Because having DFSG-clean "debian" branches is (at the moment) a nice-to-have feature, but creating DFSG-clean origtgz files is a must, perhaps the first step should be to teach gbp-export-orig to respect Files-Excluded, see <https://bugs.debian.org/1069324>.
