Heh, I am not surprised that users of the scripting language driven by "There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it" are more comfortable than most in aligning to a single normalization. Let's see if Debian can agree on a single normalization of 822-ish files. For starters, I disagree that "wrap-and-sort -a" is a suitable normalization, as that will involve re-indentation when keys change.
