So that it will immediately fail when something eventually picks
up the experimental packages (as experimental buildds right now do in some
situations)? Thank you, please not.

Been there, done that at the last round it was attempted, after which
I reverted it back then.

And I still see libpng12 refererences in some relevant pkg-config files,
which most probably will then still fail when libpng16-dev gets picked up
(unless it started to provide libpng12.pc, which I didn't check but doubt.)
