Just wanted to add some cheer since the past 12 months or so have been somewhat rocky, what with the transition to systemd and ensuing controversy with a vocal minority.
Being an end-user of Debian desktop, I'd just like to say that Jessie, In My Opinion, is the best release yet - I'm loving GNOME, the stability, and the Debian 8 wallpaper! Compared to the Spacefun theme, this one is polished, and the teal nice compared to the monochrome and saturated desktops that are the rage now.
