That's a set of gnome-shell extensions that reproduce the look & feel of GNOME 2 and GNOME 3 classic/fallback mode, not a separate window manager. As a personal data point, I was using GNOME3 classic mode, and I've switched to using GNOME 3.8 with some of those extensions, and I'm very happy with the result.
