This whole email was very out of line, and it's not how I would like Debian Community to be viewed as. Debian is Universal OS and there is no reason for it not to support touchscreens as best as it can. For example Gimp and Inkscape have very great touch & pressure sensitive brushes. Debian is suitable for anyone to use even haphazardously, and reinstalling back to something else is fine. More appropriately I would have recommended to redirect this message to debian-user mailing list.
