You critized their packaging, but this appears to be an upstream fork which is not just a sed regexp to replace the name. If people think it is worth keeping the nautilus codebase around, I think it would be ok to have it packaged, there is worse bloat in Debian and the default file manager of a very prominent desktop environment can be a personal thing to users.
