Likewise, and continue to occasionally be annoyed by unnecessary Depends.
As someone who disables default installation of Recommends, I'm taking
responsibility for wanting a minimal system, and I fully expect some
things to not work and to have to figure out why.

There's a Policy bug about clarifying the wording about Recommends that
I'm going to take a look at when I get a chance.
