I remember I had looked into one of the first attempts to package NX
(back in 2003 or so, don't remember - never came to any relevant
result). Since then I wonder whether somebody has really tried to
work out the following two questions:
1. Did anybody *really* *honestly* tried to base NX protocol
on plain X libraries? If this is not possible
2. Did anybody *really* *honestly* tried to push NC protocol
into upstream X?
In other words: Is this whole "copy of outdated X libs" issue just a
communication problem between two groups of coders?
