I am trying to setup majordomo. I am quite ignorant about everything involved (even so, I am on the developer keyring !). After several hours of effort, I have majordomo working with exim. I never even knew what the different MTA's were , much less how to use them. However, I think all the changes to the majordomo installation that I made were neccessary. It seems as if it comes out of the .deb ready for use with sendmail as an MTA, although the depends line for majordomo just says any MTA. One problem for instance is that, while exim can be invoked as 'sendmail', it chokes on some of the sendmail arguments. I only figured it out at the end, or I would have switched to sendmail (I didn't even know which MTA I had). Does this constitute a bug ? Is exim so uncommon that no one noticed it before?
