Strange, I've never seen a package name with a dot in it prior to the version number. A casual listing from: $ apt-cache search . | cut -d" " -f1 | grep "\."
doesn't seem to turn anything up. Perhaps you can consider packaging it as lazr-restfulclient instead? I know for Perl modules that we use a lib<module name>-perl pattern.
