It didn't seem to work for me. I guess I'll investigate further and possibly file a bug - because while the modules were loaded, the governor seemed to be set to "userspace" by default. The only faac I see in debian is libfaac0 which is described as a MEPG-4 > encoder. Sorry, I meant faad. The debian-live team already has working live installation CDs that use > d-i. Where can I find these? Do they actually install using the files on the CD (like Ubuntu), or do they pull from the net? If it's the latter, it seems like the former would be much better - not everybody has a network card supported with the default kernel and good enough broadband to pull 500+MB in one sitting. Anyway, I figure I'll get in touch with the respective teams and look into the source code of the relevant components somewhat. Thanks for answering my questions - it's nice to see a distribution where development is open and users can actively communicate with developers. Tim P.S.
