Please consider to extend the compilerflags with -pthread -D_REENTRANT. This is required for my python-4suite package and all other multi-threaded applications. I'm missing also -fPIC for shared objects, but this is allready a bug report. There is an another issue too. What about create a 3rd library with XML_UNICODE support called libexpatw ? -- Raphael Bossek
