At http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=make , I searched with search tool, on bugs, the string "*** Virtual memory exhausted" and it returned me two bugs. The first one is the #3117. As comment for this bug, we have "This bug is a duplicate of Bug #1517, which has been fixed. See that bug report for a patch.". So, maybe the patch you are looking for is there: http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailbug&bug_id=1517&group_id=71 Regards, -- Mathieu Roy Homepage: http://yeupou.coleumes.org Not a native english speaker: http://stock.coleumes.org/doc.php?i=/misc-files/flawed-english
