Seems you couldn't resist helping me by extending the thread? But thanks anyway for the useful input on this. BTW, I didn't start off by telling someone off for a minor infraction of a few extra lines of text in their email. To illustrate further how barmy this .sig rule is, you can have many lines of crap in the body of the email, but woe-be-tide you if you put some of the in the signature at the end.
