Why not send it the package maintainer, who can actually do something about it, rather than whining to us? It is not unreasonable for a package maintainer to ask for more info. Yes, he can probably find it, but since you have presumably already done the work, why is it such a big deal to provide it? Yeah, closing the bug probably was bit much, but it got your attention, didn't it? Most of the time when I ask the original submitter for more info, I get ignored (and eventually close the bug).
