In my quest to get bootstrap-vz running without euca2ools I stumbled across this line<https://github.com/boto/boto/blob/f77752af99ac665d9193a511bafebc1692746306/boto/manage/server.py#L82> in the boto source code. Is boto using the EC2 AMI tools to bundle images? If so, how can that be in accordance with the DFSG and included in the main repo? I remember we switched to euca2ools precisely because the standard AWS tools were non-free.
