Hi, I might have found something that's near to the real cause of the bug. When jadetex with our \dump hack is generated (or rather fails), and it works itself through the files loaded from latex.ltx, it loads
/usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/cslatex/base/fonttext.cfg this is wrong for sure, it should load /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/base/fonttext.cfg. $ kpsewhich --progname=latex fonttext.cfg /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/base/fonttext.cfg $ kpsewhich --progname=jadetex fonttext.cfg /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/base/fonttext.cfg I'm not sure what's going on here, and whether it's a problem on jadetex' or tex-common's side.
