Package: xserver-xorg-core Version: 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-2 Severity: serious --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
After upgrading xserver-xorg-core 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-1 on April 20, X fails to start when using the OpenGL nvidia driver [at least when compiled from nvidia-kernel-source 1.0.8776-4], with an error that the nvidia module does not exist. See 'startx' output below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ xauth: creating new authority file /root/.serverauth.8028 X: warning; process set to priority -1 instead of requested priority 0 X Window System Version 1.3.0 Release Date: 19 April 2007 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 1.3 Build Operating System: Linux Debian Current Operating System: Linux excelsior 2.6.20.7-686-crk2 #1 Fri Apr 20 23:20:15 EDT 2007 i686 Build Date: 21 April 2007 Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org to make sure that you have the latest version.
