Hi, My name is Ivan Kohler. I'm a CPAN author (IVAN) and Debian developer. I'm writing to you about your Authen::Passphrase module. We'd like to package this module and include it in the Debian distribution, but one of the dependencies has some uncertainty with regards to the licensing. Specifically, Crypt::UnixCrypt_XS. I'm attempting to resolve this and have Cc:ed you on my message to the maintainer, but this may take some time or may not even be possible to resolve at all. I was wondering what you think about a patch for Authen::Passphrase that uses Crypt::UnixCrypt_XS, if availble, but can fall back to the regular Crypt::UnixCrypt? This would allow us to distribute Authen::Passphrase in a working state today, but would still allow people to install the faster _XS module locally (or us to provide a package for it in the future). Thanks for your time; please do let me know what you think. -- _ivan ----- End forwarded message ----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
