Great. The only problem is that we can still not reproduce the circumstances needed to trigger the bug. Would you do us a favor? Then pack the contents of /etc/texmf/texmf.d/ and /etc/texmf/texmf.cnf into a tar archive and send it. There *must* be something in it...
