The following script, chmod'ed to 755:

echo "Hello, World!"
</file>

results in:
<response>
-bash: ./testme: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: Permission denied
</response>

The same error occurs when trying to execute "configure" scripts
generated by autoconf.
