Surely it can't take that much complexity to get nbsmtp to throw away any -o options that are passed in on the command line? This is a very serious bug (IMHO it's critical, since it breaks unrelated software on the system). I wasn't really paying attention, since I uninstalled nbsmtp long ago, but it seems ridiculous that (months after the bug is filed) a package is still in etch that breaks email on any system where it's installed.
