Will you be able to test the linux-2.6 snapshots as Dann asked? This appears to be the last release-critical bug in the kernel that's not accounted for for etch. I'm considering whether this bug should be downgraded anyway; if the driver isn't stable enough to actually use, there's no real opportunity for data loss, which would leave this in the category of an "unsupported hardware" bug.
