atlas3 causes Octave to crash when doing matrix multiplications above a
certain size (25x25 doesn't cause a crash, 250x250 and anything above
that does). Running the atlas3-test package indicates that atlas is the
cause of this problem. Of the various executables in
/usr/lib/atlas3-test, the following fail with the error message "Illegal
instruction":

I'm running this on an Intel P4 with 64-bit extensions (EMT64). The crashes
don't happen when I run this inside a 32-bit chroot.
