Package: openbsd-inetd
Version: 0.20050402-3
Severity: serious
Hi,
openbsd-inetd doesn't run when there are no services defined in
inetd.conf. This means that when installing a package that relies on
inetd that service is not available after setting up the package.
For instance:
| [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ egrep '^[^#]' /etc/inetd.conf
| [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ps xauf | grep inet | grep -v grep
| [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo aptitude install amanda-client

Andreas Barth agrees that this behaviour is release critical and should
be fixed before etch releases. Either by openbsd-inetd, or maybe
update-inetd?
Cheers,
Peter
