I rebuild the machine on praer.debian.org (as normal user using fakeroot) and it built fine. Then I tried it on the sparc machine (bilbao.flexserv.de open for DDs after contacting the admin, thanks a lot) and it built fine when building as root user. When I use my normal user account (of course with fakeroot) I get a failure[0]. I am really sorry, but I am running out of time to do further testing (because of my vacations), I just wanted to share this experience with you, hope it helps.
