I've just installed Debian Etch for amd64. The boot process sleep 2 times for about 5 minutes. My usb device doesn't work, they aren't powered. My motherboard is an Asus A8V Deluxe. I've used a lot of distros and Debian worked. The installer works. I can't give you any other information because I've only usb mouse and keyboard, and ssh is not installed.
