Bug#401263: apt-get busted -- again!

I've sent a patch earlier to this bug log that fixed a crash on APT, for
me. And, judging by the stack trace you sent, it seems to be the same
one affecting me. Try the apt-segfault.diff attached to this message.
You may need to apply apt-ftbfs.diff also, if you're not able to compile
from the original source.
