I have prepared an NMU that incorporates all three patches into one. I've also raised the severity of #394588 because this turned out to be blocking the patch from #355656.
I'm attaching the dpatch versions of the relevant patches because there is a curious problem with rivet: it has a non-native version number (0.5.0-3) but no .diff.gz, instead it has rivet_0.5.0-3.tar.gz - this prevents me from attaching the usual interdiff. The supplied tarball also includes lots of CVS directories but those aren't RC so I've left those in place.
