The mysql-server-4.1 eats some of our memory, so that the kernel kill the process. There is a known bug of mysqld. Please read the Bugreport 13078 from bugs.mysql.com http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=13078 I hope Debian can implement this fix.
