The patch suggested for this bug is a little overboard; the original code looks like it was trying to use the Linux system call interface to get around the lack of 64-bit seek support in userland. Now that this is available, a *much* easier way to fix this is simply convert l64seek() to be a wrapper around lseek() and compile with appropriate flags. I'm about to upload an NMU to fix this (and multiple of the other bugs open in this package).
