Would this be easy to backport to 4.8.1 or are there major changes involved? As we are nearing the next official debian release, I'm hesitant to include the cvs version, or a newly released version, given the "package duration"/"bug found" ratio of 4.8.1 :-), but a simple backport would be OK.
