i can not try on the same host because it is only under testing. But i've used another host under unstable, and it works fine
there were some issues with libdb-linking that may have causedsegfaulting like what you describe.the strace of apache-ssl is attached<snip>open("/usr/lib/libnss_db.so.2", O_RDONLY) = 3 read(3, "\177ELF\1\1\1\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\3\0\3\0\1\0\0\0\0\21\0"..., 512) = 512<snip> this makes me suspect even further that this is the problem. if you're using nss-db which links against the same symbols and the badly-linked version of php, i would suspect this. please try with 5.1.6-4 and let me know if you still have problems. thanks, sean
